Katy Perry has revealed that she stopped Googling herself after finding out that husband Russell Brand was planning to propose - before it had even happened.
The 26-year-old singer admitted that she used to use the search engine to find stories about herself but said that she had to quit after getting a Google alert about Brand's proposal plans weeks before he got down on one knee.
She told The Sunday Times Magazine, 'I'm four months Google-free. I don't Google myself anymore. That was my New Year's resolution. I don't read papers. I don't even look at reviews. I have a good team around me so if anything pops up that's really good or bad I'll know about it. Generally I feel much better being able to live my life like a normal person and not read yesterday's news.'
