Apple Accuses Samsung of Copying Looks and Feel of iPhone and iPad, Files Lawsuit

Apple Inc. has reportedly filed a lawsuit against Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. over allegations of intellectual property violation. The Cupertino, California-based company accuses Samsung of copying both the look and feel of the iPhone and iPad with their smartphones and tablets such as the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Nexus S, Samsung Epic 4G, and Samsung Galaxy Tab.
Apple states in its lawsuit against Samsung, which was on April 15 in the Northern District of California:
“Rather than innovate and develop its own technology and a unique Samsung style for its smart phone products and computer tablets, Samsung chose to copy Apple’s technology, user interface and innovative style in these infringing products.”
This is yet another anti-competitive and draconian move by Apple, who is known to protect its intellectual property at all costs. Both Samsung and Apple have yet to publicly comment on the matter.
